Dear Commissioner Russell:
I am writing you to express my support for Barbara Pittman. I ask that you deny the
appeal brought by Geoffrey Bash challenging the approval that Ms. Pittman has rightfully
obtained from the Historic Environmental Preservation Board (HEPB).
I have been a resident of Bay Point for 19 years. As a neighboring property owner, I can
affirm that Ms. Pittman maintains her historic home in excellent condition.
It has recently come to my attention that Geoffrey Bash has contacted City of Miami and
Miami -Dade County, Code Enforcement, Zoning, Building, Parking, the Historic Board
and the City of Miami Police Department an inordinate amount of times. Mr. Bash is
abusing our resources and wasting tax dollars for his own personal vendetta against Ms.
Pittman.
I respectfully ask that you deny said appeal.

I have.worked with the Pittman's as their Realtor for a number of their properties
and have considered them good personal friends for over 15 years. They have always
taken pride in their home and since Mr. Pittman's passing, Mrs. Pittman has carried on
with this pride of ownership and by maintaining the Historic integrity of the property.
For these reasons, I respectfully ask that you deny the appeal.

I am writing to you to express my support for Barbara Pittman. And, I ask that you deny the appeal
brought by Geoffrey Bash challenging the approval that Ms. Pittman rightfully obtained from the Historic
Environmental Preservation Board (HEPB).
This appeal is just another attempt of Geoffrey Bash to cause Barbara Pittman unwarranted,
harassment and intimidation since the passing of her husband. I have seen first-hand Mr. Bash's
behavior and his attempt to seize any opportunity to disseminate falsehoods to anyone forced to listen.
The HEPB approved Mr. Pitman's Special Certificate of Appropriateness after hearing all of Mr. Bash's
false and immaterial allegations. This appeal has no merit and should not consume any additional time
to all of the parties involved.
The Pittman home and yard has and is maintained in a manner that she and husband did for years.
Given a historic home requires more attention than normal, Mr. Bash has added an undue burden on
Barbara after her husband's death and brought about a very dearly visible physical toll, witnessed to
myself and others. No one should have to endure the stress of having an unreasonable person beyond
her property. I know she has sought out help, from various city departments however it seems none
have managed to help this ongoing vindictive and daily harassment.
The semantic consumption by Mr. Bash of the city's time and resources benefit only one person and
that is himself. In, contrast Ms. Pittman is bearing the financial strain, countless amount of time just to
protect and defend herself from an overly vindictive neighbor, just so that she can continue to live in her
home as she has for the last 20 years. Barbara Pittman should be allowed to enjoy her home and the
neighborhood which offers many great things including diversity in age and lifestyles.
For these reasons, I respectfully ask that you deny the appeal.

1 am writing to you on behalf of the Corona Bay Condominium Association to
express the Condominiums support for Ms. Pittman and to ask that the Commission deny
the appeal brought by Geoffrey Bash to challenge the approval that Ms. Pittman has
rightfully obtained from the Historic Environmental Preservation Board (HEPB).
We are neighboring property owners at 3810 NE 6th Avenue and we would like to
confirm for the record that Ms. Pittman maintains her historic home in excellent condition.
She has always been a good neighbor and the landscaping, hedges and gates on her
property enhance the Magnolia Park neighborhood.
The appeal has no merit and the HEPB approved the Special Certificate of
Appropriateness after having heard all of Bash's irrelevant allegations.

The appeal is just another transparent attempt by Geoffrey Bash to hurt Barbara after
her husband's death. For the last 1 % years, I have seen first-hand the calculated
bullying, harassment and intimidation tactics Mr. Bash continues to exhibit. This appeal
has no merit. The HEPB approved her Special Certificate of Appropriateness after
having heard all of Mr. Bash's irrelevant (and false) allegations.
I have seen her struggle to maintain her historic house and yard in the manner she and
her husband did for years. And, the fact that Geoffrey Bash started his harassment of
her so soon after her husband's death, is absolutely immoral and disgraceful! The
woman was still grieving and had to defend herself against Mr. Bash to the city!
I have witnessed the physical toll this has taken on her and how the constant stress of
his bullying is negatively affecting her health. I know she has contacted several
departments at the city and that she doesn't know where else to turn for help to stop to
this daily harassment.
Not only is Geoffrey Bash's vindictive behavior abusing the city's time and resources
(for his own personal agenda), but it has also caused a financial strain on Barbara
Pittman, as well as her spending a majority of her time protecting and defending her
property and preparing for hearing after hearing. Barbara Pittman is merely trying to
hold onto her home that she and her husband and had lived in for 20 years.
I have witnessed the lengths that Geoffrey Bash has gone to in order to make it difficult
for Barbara Pittman to peacefully reside in her home and I believe his appeal is
motivated by his animosity towards Barbara. Since her husband's death she has been
forced to continuously defend against Mr. Bash's unwarranted attacks and bullying.
For these reasons, I respectfully ask that you deny the appeal.

Dear Commissioner Russell,
We are writing to express our support for Ms. Pittman and to ask you to deny
the appeal brought to challenge the approval that Ms. Pittman has obtained from the
Historic Environmental Preservation Board.
We are new residents to 39th Street, we moved in across the street from Ms.
Pittman in September of last year. One of the biggest appeals of 39th street is how
lush and green certain areas of the street are, Ms. Pittman's home being one of the
main ones. Her home adds such value to this street. It is exceptionally well kept,
with a beautiful old Florida look, and beautiful plants, hedges and greenery. It is a
pleasure to live across the street and look at her home's facade everyday. We feel
very lucky to have her and her home as our front door neighbor.
We do not have a personal relationship with neither Ms. Pittman nor Mr.
Bash. We write this letter because we truly appreciate the state of her home and
gardens, and believe it adds value to our street. Also, we understand that Ms.
Pittman is a widow who resides in her home by herself. The hedges, we believe, are
of great importance to her comfort and safety. There are two big buildings at the
end of the street that are being operated as short term rentals, basically a hotel, and
because of this, there is a lot of foot and car traffic from transient travelers.
Additionally, the street right in front of Ms. Pittman's home is public parking, so she
has strangers parking in front of her house all day long. Right now, her hedges are
just tall enough to give her privacy and safety, which we think is needed due to how
rowdy and loud the people on the street can be. In fact, we ourselves just put up
some plants on our patio in an attempt to cover our windows from walker-bys and
prying eyes.
We do not believe that her hedges pose a safety hazard in the least bit. They
are not overgrown or unkempt. Ms. Pittman has help in tending for her garden, we
see her gardener at least once a week, working on her property. Cutting down her
hedges would not make the street any safer, but it would cause her undue cost and
harm, and it would harm us as well, as we truly love how her home looks with the
beautiful greenery around it Cutting down the hedges would be detrimental to the
whole neighborhood, not just Ms. Pittman.

men and women that should be attending to real matters. I can affirm that Ms. Pittman
maintains her historic home in excellent condition. To my knowledge, she has never
had an issue with any of her neighbors other than Mr. Bash.
I have witnessed the lengths that Mr. Bash has gone to in order to make it difficult
for Ms. Pittman to reside in her home and I believe his appeal is motivated by his

support for Ms. Barbara Pittman by asking you to deny the appeal brought by Geoff Bash
to challenge the approval granted by the Historic Preservation Board (HEPB) related to
her property. Ms. Pittman is a good neighbor that maintains her home in excellent
condition. The landscaping and the improvements that are the subject of the application
add visual appeal to her home and serve to enhance the neighborhood. Ms. Pittman
