Good evening Ms. Diaz -Torres
We disapprove of the proposed elimination of emergency vehicle access through NW 7th Place at NW 32nd Street and NW
34th Street unless provisions are made that allow a means of rapid access through the aforementioned location in the event of an
emergency. A gate with a siren activated gate sensor would be a viable solution that would afford emergency apparatus the
ability to access the school and nearby residences with minimal delays in the event of an emergency. Currently, a barrier exists
at the above mentioned location, which is an impediment to emergency response. This barrier has also created a dead end on the
northern side of NW 7 Place coming from 34th Street without provisions for a fire apparatus to turn around as required by the
Florida Fire Prevention Code (NFPA 1:18.2.3.4.4).
NFPA 1:18.2.3.4.4 Dead Ends. Dead-end fire department access roads in excess of 150 ft (46 m) in length shall be
provided with approved provisions for the fire apparatus to turn around.
I would be happy to meet with representatives from Corpus Christi Catholic Church to discuss this matter further, as well as to
discuss other possible solutions.
Regards.

Subject: RE: Proposed Vehicular Restrictions
I have completed a visual inspection of the location in question and my findings are as follows:
On N.W. 32st. and 7place to N.W. 34st. and 7p1. on the west side of the street there are at least 6 residential structures
some of which are multi -unit dwellings) that the Solid Waste Department currently provides garbage, recycling, and
bulky trash services to. These residences are serviced by our vehicles entering from 34st. and proceeding south to about
32terr. And then exiting back out onto 34st. The road is currently partially blocked. If the entire street is blocked, we will
not be able to provide services.
