Notice is hereby given that the City Commission of the City of Miami,
Florida, will consider the following ordinance on second and final reading
on February 14, 2019 commencing at 9:00 A.M., in the City Commission
Chambers located at 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133:
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AMENDING
CHAPTER 62 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS
AMENDED; MORE SPECIFICALLY BY ADDING ARTICLE XVII, TITLED
"COVENANTS FOR AFFORDABLE OR .WORKFORCE HOUSING," TO
INCORPORATE SPECIFIC ENFORCEMENT PROVISIONS, PENALTIES,
AND REQUIREMENTS FOR RESTRICTIVE COVENANTS ASSOCIATED
WITH AFFORDABLE OR WORKFORCE HOUSING THAT MAY PROVIDE
PROPERTY OWNERS OR DEVELOPERS WITH DEVELOPMENT INCENTIVES
OR BENEFITS; MAKING FINDINGS; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Said proposed ordinance may be inspected by the public at the Office of the
City Clerk, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133, Monday through
Friday, excluding holidays, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., or
http://miamifl-igm2.com five days before the date of the Commission
Meeting.
All interested persons are invited to appear at the meeting and may be
heard with respect to the proposed ordinances. Should any person desire
to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter
to be considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim
record of the proceedings is made including all testimony and evidence
upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA
PLEASE ALL TAKE NOTICE THAT a meeting of the City of Miami
Commission has been scheduled for Thursday, February 14, 2019, at
the City of Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida
33133. A private attorney -client session will be conducted under the
parameters of §286.011(8), F.S. The person chairing the City of Miami
Commission meeting will announce the commencement of an
attomey-client session, closed to the public, for purposes of discussing
the pending litigation case of Airbnb, Inc. et al. v. City of Miami, Case
No. 2017-008999 CA 01, pending in the Circuit Court of the 11th
Judicial Circuit in and for Miami -Dade County, Florida to which the
City is presently a party. This private meeting will begin at approximately
10:00 a.m. (or as soon thereafter as the Commissioners' schedules
permit) and conclude approximately one hour later. The session will
be attended by the members of the City Commission, which include
Chairman Ken Russell, Vice -Chairman Wifredo "Willy" Gort, and
Commissioners Joe Carollo, Manolo Reyes, and Keon Hardemon;
City Manager Emilio T. Gonzalez; City Attomey Victoria Mendez;
Deputy City Attorneys John A. Greco and Barnaby L. Min; Division
Chief for General Litigation Christopher A. Green; and Assistant City
Attorney Rachel Dooley. A certified court reporter will be present to
ensure that the session is fully transcribed and the transcript will be
made public upon the conclusion of the above -cited, ongoing
litigation. At the conclusion of the attorney -client session, the regular
Commission meeting will be reopened and the person chairing the
Commission meeting will announce the termination of the attorney -client
session.
