HomeMy WebLinkAboutPre-LegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-18-0433 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 4176 Final Action Date: 10/11/2018 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), ALLOCATING PROGRAM YEAR 2018-2019 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG") FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,018,378.60 IN THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CATEGORY TO THE AGENCIES SPECIFIED IN ATTACHMENT "A," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES IN THE PROGRAM YEAR 2018-2019; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, AS MAY BE NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THE ALLOCATIONS, SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAWS THAT REGULATE THE USE OF SUCH FUNDS. WHEREAS, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") has announced the final Community Planning and Development Program Formula Allocations for Program Year 2018-2019 and the recommended amount of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Economic Development funds; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. R-18-0287 adopted July 12, 2018, the City Commission approved CDBG Program Year categories allocating funds in the amount of $3,018,378.60 for Economic Development; and WHEREAS, the Administration recommends the allocation of Program Year 2018-2019 CDBG funds in the amount of $3,018,378.60 in the Economic Development category to the agencies specified in Attachment "A," attached and incorporated, for economic development activities beginning October 1, 2018; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The allocation of Program Year 2018-2019 CDBG funds in the amount of $3,018,378.60 in the Economic Development category to the agencies specified in Attachment "A," attached and incorporated, for Economic Development activities in the Program Year 2018- 2019 is approved. Section 3.
