Hannon City Clerk Date: November 18, 2016 Subject: Downtown Development Authority References: Agenda for December 8, 2016 Enclosures: List of members, DDA Resolution and Resumes The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Board was created to exercise supervisory control over the activities of the director and the staff of the Downtown Development Authority. Twelve (of the fifteen) members of the DDA shall be appointed by the current board of directors of the DDA and submitted to the City Commission for confirmation. One member may be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners of Miami -Dade County and submitted to the City Commission for confirmation. One member may be appointed by the Cabinet of the State and submitted to the City Commission for confirmation. • The Commission At Large is being requested to confirm the appointment of the following members: 1. Danet Linares, incumbent, whose term expired on August 31, 2016, has served as a member since September 11, 2008, and will require a term waiver by a unanimous (5/5) vote of the Commission. 2. Alan Ojeda, incumbent, whose term expired on August 31, 2016, has served as a member since September 11, 2008, and will require a term waiver by a unanimous (5/5) vote of the Commission. 3. Gary Ressler (Term: 9/1/2016 through 8/31/2020) 4. Greg West (Term: 9/1/2016 through 8/31/2020) For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said authority. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting that the Agenda Office place this issue on the December 8, 2016, Commission agenda.
