RE: Letter of Interest to Continue to Serve as a DDA Board Member
Dear Nominating Committee:
CD
n
Please accept this as my official letter of interest to continue to serve as Board Member of the Miami
Downtown Development Authority. I have served on the Miami DDA Board for eight years and seek to
continue for another four year term.
Downtown Miami has been my professional home for two decades. It is a place I have advocated for and
focused my attention on for twenty-three years as a commercial real estate professional leasing the
city's most prominent buildings. This includes signature office towers such as Southeast Financial
Center, Miami Tower, 1450 Brickell, 1111 Brickell and 600 Brickell. I am currently overseeing the leasing
of nearly 2.2M square feet of office space (7 properties) in the Central Business District and Brickell
which represents 16% of the Class A and B market.
During my tenure on the Miami DDA Board, I have been an active member assisting in moving the
organization's mission forward at a time of dramatic change in downtown Miami.
Throughout my time on the Board, I have been a strong voice and advocate for downtown Miami and
the DDA. My dedication to the DDA is seen through my regular and ongoing participation and
engagement in DDA activities including board meetings, committee meetings, board retreats, special
workshops and advisory groups. This also includes participating in DDA committees such as the Business
Development & Marketing, Quality of Life and Urban Placemaking Committee.
In the Business Development & Marketing committee, I have led the office advisory group and
participated in the retail committee working with Sonja on both advisory groups. I have worked with
DDA staff and consultants in providing information and advisory services for the DDA's semi-annual
office report, along with providing other real estate market knowledge to benefit the organization. I
have been on numerous evaluation committees and assisted staff in assessing different providers that
would fall under the marketing umbrella.

In addition, I have been active in many other ways. As a leading commercial real estate broker in
downtown Miami, I have been an advocate for the DDA and downtown Miami in meetings with
prospective property owners and tenants evaluating downtown Miami. I was also instrumental in
negotiating the renewal of the DDA office lease and ensured the organization received a below market
deal. In that case, I acted as an advisor to the DDA, not as a broker, with no compensation received.
As Chair of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce New World Center Committee, I ensured the DDA
worked closely with the Chamber to bring Downtown issues to the forefront including Homeless and
traffic issues. The organization CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) brought its national convention
to Miami — 1000 CREW professionals. I was the leading voice in bringing members attending the
Convention to take a bus tour of downtown Miami to showcase our city. During one eMerge
conference, I participated in the City tour as a guide providing information on the City's commercial real
estate market.
It has been an honor to serve on this Board as I have seen the DDA flourish more than in any other time.
As we enter a critical moment in downtown, with an abundance of residential, office and retail product
on the horizon, I look forward to continuing the Board's work and actively contributing to further
advance the mission and goals of the DDA.
Best Regards,
