AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
("CDBG") FUND, FROM SUNSHINE FOR ALL, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $63,387 TO
RESILIENCE AND PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FOR STREET AND SIDEWALK
IMPROVEMENT, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL
THE AGREEMENT(S), IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR
SAID PURPOSE.
Background of Item:
On September 27, 2018 the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 18-0398
allocating CDBG program funds for program year 2018-2019 and previous year's
program income in the total amount of $939,002.37 in the public services category for
public services activities, beginning October 1, 2018, which included an amount of
$69,085 to Sunshine for All, Inc.
The City Administration recommends the transfer of CDBG fund from Sunshine For All,
Inc. in the amount of $63,387 to Resilience and Public Work Department for street and
sidewalk improvement.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE
TRANSFER OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG") FUNDS IN
THE AMOUNT OF $63,387.00 FROM SUNSHINE FOR ALL, INC., A FLORIDA NOT
FOR PROFIT CORPORATION, TO THE RESILIENCE AND PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT FOR STREET AND SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS; AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY
DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR SAID
PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, on September 27, 2018, pursuant to Resolution No. 18-0398, the City
Commission allocated Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") program funds for
program year 2018-2019 and the previous year's program income in the total amount of
$939,002.37 ("Allocation") in the Public Services category for Public Service activities beginning
October 1, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the Allocation included an amount of $69,085.00 for Sunshine for All, Inc., a
Florida Not for Profit Corporation ("Sunshine For All"); and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends the transfer of CDBG funds in the
amount of $63,387.00 from Sunshine For All to the Resilience and Public Works Department for
street and sidewalk improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this section.
Section 2. The transfer of CDBG funds in the amount of $63,387.00 from Sunshine For
All to the Resilience and Public Works Department for street and sidewalk improvements is
authorized.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized' to negotiate and execute any and all
necessary documents, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, for said purpose.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.2
1 The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by
the City Attorney, including but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code
provisions.
2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
