Garcia, Director Planning and Zoning Department DATE: September 27, 2017 SUBJECT: Emergency Purchase Order - Tree Restoration Services REFERENCES ENCLOSURES: Vendor Quotes Pursuant to Section 18-90 of the City Code, the Planning and Zoning Department respectfully requests your approval for an emergency purchase order for tree restoration services as a result of Hurricane Irma in an amount not'to exceed $150,000. This request will be funded through the Tree Trust Fund (P: 15-110136A, A: 2061) and as reimbursable by FEMA. The tree restoration services to be provided by Ynigo Landscaping & Lawn Services, Inc. and Visualscape, Inc. include standing, bracing, pruning, and watering of leaning trees along the right-of-ways. The intent is to preserve as much tree canopy as possible and also ensure the safety of City residents. Your signature below affirms your decision to declare procurement of landscape damage assessment services an emergency.
