$788,856.60 AND THE AMOUNT OF $150,145.77 FROM PREVIOUS YEAR
PROGRAM INCOME, FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $939,002.37 IN THE PUBLIC
SERVICE CATEGORY, TO THE AGENCIES SPECIFIED IN ATTACHMENT "A",
ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR PUBLIC SERVICE ACTIVITIES BEGINNING
OCTOBER 1, 2018; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AND
ALL THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY
ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
Background of Item:
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") announced the final
Community Planning and Development Program Formula Allocations for FY2018, as
such, the amount of CDBG funds being recommended.
Pursuant to Resolution No. R-18-0287, adopted July 12, 2018, the Miami City
Commission approved CDBG Program Year categories, allocating the amount of
$788,856.60 and the amount of $150,145.77 from previous year program income for a
total amount of $939,002.37 in the Public Service category.
The City Administration recommends the allocation for 2018-2019 Program Year CDBG
funds, from HUD entitlement grants funds in the amount of $788,856.60 and the amount
of $150,145.77 from previous year program income in the Public Service category, to
the agencies specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, for Public Service
activities beginning October 1, 2018.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION FOR PROGRAM YEAR 2018-2019 COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG") FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $788,856.60
AND THE AMOUNT OF $150,145.77 FROM PREVIOUS YEAR'S PROGRAM
INCOME, FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $939,002.37 IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE
CATEGORY, TO THE AGENCIES SPECIFIED IN ATTACHMENT "A," ATTACHED
AND INCORPORATED, FOR PUBLIC SERVICE ACTIVITIES BEGINNING OCTOBER
1, 2018; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ANY
AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY
ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD")
announced the final Community Planning and Development Program Formula Allocations for
Program Year 2018-2019 and the amount of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG")
funds being recommended; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 18-0287 adopted July 12, 2018, the Miami City
Commission approved the CDBG Program Year categories allocating the amount of
$788,856.60 and the amount of $150,145.77 from previous year program income for a total
amount of $939,0023.37 in the Public Service category; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami's ("City") Administration recommends the allocation for
2018-2019 Program Year CDBG funds from HUD entitlement grants funds in the amount of
$788,856.60 and the amount of $150,145.77 from previous year program income in the Public
Service category, to the agencies specified in Attachment "A," attached and incorporated, for
Public Service activities beginning October 1, 2018;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The allocation of Program Year 2018-2019 CDBG funds in the amount of
$789,002.00 and the amount of $150,000.00 from previous year program income for a total
amount of $939,002.00 in the Public Service category, to the agencies specified in Attachment
"A," attached and incorporated, for Public Service activities beginning October 1, 2018, is
authorized.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized' to negotiate and execute any and all
necessary documents, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, for said purpose.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.2

1 The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by
the City Attorney, including but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code
provisions.
2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
