Summary: • The Resolution authorizes the City Manager to accept, execute all necessary documents, and appropriate funds in an estimated amount not to exceed $80,000, to be received from the Early Learning Coalition of Miami -Dade County, administering funds from the State of Florida Statewide School Readiness Program. • The Parks to receive benefit from the $80,000 in subsidy payments are: o Eaton Park Day Care — 490 NE 61 Street, Miami, FL o Lemon City Park Day Care — 27 NE 58 Street, Miami, FL o Moore Park Day Care —765 NW 36 ST, Miami, FL • The City must execute a provider contract (attached) to accept participation in the Early Learning Coalition program, and to comply with all related terms and conditions. • The City agrees to enroll eligible children for the Statewide Readiness Program only with authorization from the Early Learning Coalition, which will be provided in the form of a child care certificate. • The City is required to deliver the following: o Monthly child care services o Monthly attendance reports o Proof of developmental screenings for applicable children • City of Miami Annual Registration Fees (non-refundable) - $60 per year • City of Miami Fee Schedule and Early Learning Coalition Maximum Reimbursement Rates can be found on page 21 of 26 of the contract. o Low-income families have the opportunity to apply for a lower day care rate. The Early Learning Coalition will determine the daily rate based on family income utilizing their Sliding Fee Schedule.
