Subject to the approval of the City Commission, the Civil Service Board was created to adopt,
amend and enforce a code of rules and regulations which shall have the force and effect of law,
providing for appointment and employment in all positions in the classified service, based on merit,
efficiency, character, and industry; and to make investigations concerning the enforcement and effect
of this article and of the rules adopted; and shall make an annual report to the Commission.
Commission -At -Large has one (1) appointment for a seat currently:
1. Vacant. (Seat previously held by Lillie Harris)
The term of appointed members will begin on June 15, 2018 and end on May 8, 2020.
For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of
this memorandum to the Agenda Office, we are requesting that this issue be placed on the June 14,
2018, Commission agenda.
