Hannon City Clerk Date: April 23, 2018 Subject: Civil Service Board References: Agenda for May 10, 2018 Enclosures: List of members, Memo from Executive Secretary and Resume Subject to the approval of the City Commission, the Civil Service Board was created to adopt, amend and enforce a code of rules and regulations which shall have the force and effect of law, providing for appointment and employment in all positions in the classified service, based on merit, efficiency, character, and industry; and to make investigations concerning the enforcement and effect of this article and of the rules adopted; and shall make an annual report to the Commission. Based on the attached memo by Tishra Mindingall, Executive Secretary, Civil Service Board, Commission -At -Large has three (3) appointments for seats currently held by: 1. Michael T. Dames, incumbent, whose term expires on May 8, 2018. 2. Lillie Harris, incumbent, whose term expires on May 8, 2018. 3. Troy Sutton, incumbent, whose term expires on May 8, 2018. The term of appointed members will begin on May 9, 2018 and end on May 8, 2020. For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum to the Agenda Office, we are requesting that this issue be placed on the May 10, 2018, Commission agenda.
