A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
OFFICIALLY CONFIRMING THE CITY CLERK'S CERTIFICATION OF THE
DECLARATION OF RESULTS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI CIVIL SERVICE BOARD
ELECTION HELD ON APRIL 19, 2018 AND APRIL 20, 2018

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby officially confirms the City Clerk's Certification
of the Declaration of Results of the City of Miami Civil Service Board Election, held on April 19,
2018, and April 20, 2018.
Section 2. Ulysses Garcia is hereby confirmed as an elected member of the Civil
Service Board, for Seat No. 1, to serve for a term beginning on May 9, 2018, and ending on May
8, 2020.
Section 3. Wilbur M. Jackson, Jr. is hereby confirmed as an elected member of the Civil
Service Board, for Seat No. 2, to serve for a term beginning on May 9, 2018, and ending on May
8, 2020.
Section 4. In accordance with Section XIV of Administrative Policy Manual ("APM") No.
APM-1-79, and pursuant to City Commission Resolution No. 41225, a run-off election will not be
held since Mr. Garcia and Mr. Jackson, Jr. received more than fifty percent (50%) plus one (1)
of the votes cast.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.'
