Gonzalez, Ph.D. City Manager FROM: Annie Perez, CPPO, ❑irector Department of Procurement DATE: March 15, 2018 FILE: SUBJECT: Recommendation of Award for Citywide Stormwater Pump Station Maintenance and Repair Services REFERENCES: Request for Proposals ("RFP") No. 763388 ENCLOSURES: Recommendation to Negotiate Memo, Score Sheets RECOMMENDATION: Based on the findings below, the Department of Procurement ("Procurement") hereby recommends award of RFP 763388 to Condo Electric Motor Repair Corp. ("Condo Electric"), the sole responsive and responsible Proposer, to provide citywide stormwater pump station maintenance and repair services for the Department of Public Works. The awarded vendor, contract terms, and amount are shown below. RFP No./Title: Contract Amount: Contract Term: Recommended Vendor: RFP 763388, Citywide Stormwater Pump Station Maintenance and Repair Services Approximately $944,890.00 annually (aggregate of $6,614,230.00 for seven (7) years), subject to availability of funds for succeeding fiscal years Initial term for a period of three (3) years, with the option to renew for two (2) additional two (2) year periods Condo Electric Motor Repair Corp., 3615 East 10th Court, Hialeah, FL 33013 BACKGROUND: On September 19, 2017, Procurement issued RFP No. 763388, under full and open competition to obtain the services of an experienced and qualified proposer for the purpose of providing stormwater pump station maintenance and repair services. On October 10, 2017, two (2) proposals were received. One proposal was deemed non -responsive due to an inability to provide a required license. An Evaluation Committee completed the review and evaluation of the sole responsive proposal and determined that Condo Electric was a qualified, responsive, and responsible proposer. Subsequently, the negotiations team met with Condo Electric on February 14, 2018 to conduct negotiations of a contract. As a result of negotiations, the City realized a savings of 33% or $454,675.00 from the firm's proposed price of $1,399,565.00. Consequently, approval of the recommendation to award is requested.
