WHEREAS, the term of office for Mr. Larry M. Spring, Jr., as a member of the Off -Street Parking Board of the City of Miami (the "Board"), will expire on March 14, 2018; and WHEREAS, throughout his tenure with the Board, Mr. Spring has performed all his duties and obligations with integrity and devotion; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 23(b) of the City of Miami Charter, a member of the Board must be reappointed at least twenty (20) days prior to the date of expiration of the term, by the remaining members of the Board, subject to confirmation by the City of Miami Commission; and WHEREAS, the Board held a duly noticed public meeting on February 7, 2018, and reappointed Mr. Spring to the Board for a term to expire on March 14, 2023, subject to confirmation by the City of Miami Commission; and WHEREAS, the Board respectfully requests that the City Commission approve the reappointment of Mr. Spring for a term expiring March 14, 2023, to continue to serve as an invaluable asset to the Department of Off -Street Parking of the City of Miami d/b/a Miami Parking Authority. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE OFF-STREET PARKING BOARD OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Mr. Larry M. Spring, Jr. is hereby reappointed as a member of the Off Street Parking Board of the City of Miami, Florida, pursuant to Section 23(b) of the City of Miami Charter, for the term of five years which will expire March 14, 2023. Section 2. The Board herby recommends to the City Commission the reappointment of Mr. Larry M. Spring, Jr. be confirmed.
