The Nature Conservancy is the largest environmental non-profit organization in
the world, working in 72 countries, with 6.7 billion in assets.
■ The Florida Cities Program is part of a network of 22 cities across the U.S. We are
dedicated to urban conservation within the Greater Miami region, managing our
water and energy resources for long term prosperity.
• We are devoted to public and private partnerships that incorporates natural
systems, including green infrastructure, that can help reduce storm water runoff,
tidal flooding, storm surges, urban heat, and air pollution.
• Current work includes ccOstal resiliency projects led by our scientists and
engineers on Biscayne Bay supporting risk reduction; restoration of the
banksjgreenspaces along Wagner Creek to help manage stormwater runoff and
enhance public spaces; planting native trees on The Underline (M-Path beneath
Metrorail) stabilizing the soil, absorbing carbon in the air and reduce heat.

• Managed all aspects of a $10 million, multi -year science competition fostering the
development of disruptive technology to solve phosphorus pollution problem.
• Effectively led the prize into its official launch in 2016, with over 140 teams
applying, from 11 countries.
• Oversaw the Prize's $1.5 million annual budget ($17.5 million total budget), and all
contracts with professional service firms, to ensure services are delivered on time,
on budget, and of appropriate quality.
• Directed the prize design and implementation, including the technical
requirements for each stage of competition.
• Supported our development team in securing $2.7 million in individual, foundation
and corporate support for the Prize.
• Worked closely with the Foundation's Science Team (hydrologists, wetland
ecologists, environmental engineers, and economists) to integrate scientific tools
and effectively present data.

• Served as first full-time staff person in City's history dedicated to sustainability.
• Developed, coordinated and oversaw environmental programs and policies within
the areas of sustainability.
Managed the compliance of environmental regulations within a!1 open spaces,
parks and facilities, including all water testing and mitigation efforts.
• Developed the City's first comprehensive Sustainability Master Plan, a ten-year
blueprint for environmental decision making.
• Managed the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan, smart streetlight system, Tree
Plan, and liaison to the Gables Green Task Force Board.

• Helped secure $4.7 million in funding from the American Recovery and
Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and the Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant
(ECCBG).
• Managed the design of the Miami Green Lab Resource Center, a $2 million, 5,500
square foot LEED Silver Certified Building Structure.
• Served as City's representative, City of Mierni Green Commission.

• Led the Teen Clean Youth Program, a partnership with South Florida Workforce
focused on the education of youth from inner city neighborhoods of Miami to
strengthen their skills in the environmental workforce.
• Direct liaison to the department. Supported the ongoing communications between
non-profit organizations, foundations, sustainable services and the City to expand
mutual sustainable goals.
• Coordinated the City's first green building conference and expo, Gateway to Green.

• Assisted in evaluating, coordinating and distributing information and authorization needed to
construct a project on time, within budget, and to the quality specified.
• Head Field Engineer for the MIC MIA Connector Station, a $172 million FDOT and Miami -Dade
County funded elevated transportation station; a project within the $1.7 billion Miami Intermodal
Center (MIC).
• Responsible for the entire Miami Business Unit's Waste Management Program, as part of the
collection and hauling of recyclable materials on all project sites in South Florida.
• Green chairperson for Miami Business Unit. Coordinated LEED AP Workshops.

• Selected by the White House Council on Environmental Quality to assemble the Miami Green
Roundtable, a discussion led by the White House Chair, and 0 women leaders to discuss
environmental initiatives. (March 2012)
• 1 of 50 Americans selected to participate in the 2010 Young Leaders Conference in Prague, Czech
Republic, a conference sponsored by the U.S. State Department that explored environmental issues
with Central European countries and the U.S. (Nov. 6-12, 2010)
• Received the prestigious "Green Leader Award" by Turner Construction. (2008)
