Ph.D. City Manager FROM: Annie Perez, CPPO, Director Department of Procurement DATE: February 26, 2018 FILE: SUBJECT: Recommendation of Award for Citywide Storm Sewer Repair and Installation REFERENCES: Invitation for Bid ("IFB") No. 786381 ENCLOSURES: Bid Security List RECOMMENDATION: Based on the findings below, the Department of Procurement (''Procurement") hereby recommends award for Citywide Storm Sewer Repair and Installation, to JVA Engineering Contractor, Inc. ('JVA"). the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder, per the bid specifications. Additional locations and services may be added to the Contract as deemed in the best interest of the City of Miami. Contract Number/Title: Contract Amount: Contract Term: Recommended Vendor: IFB No. 786381, Citywide Storm Sewer Repair and Installation Approximately $2,895,862.00 annually (aggregate of $20,271,034.00 for seven (7) years) Initial term for a period of three (3) years. with the option to renew for two (2) additional two (2) year periods, subject to availability of funds for succeeding fiscal years. JVA Engineering Contractor, Inc. BACKGROUND: On December 15, 2017, Procurement issued IFB No. 786381, under full and open competition. As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued online. On January 17, 2018, two (2) bids were received and tabulated following the guidelines directed in the IFB and all bids were responsive. Based on the above findings, Procurement hereby recommends that the Contract be awarded to JVA, the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder.
