Hannon City Clerk Date: February 9, 2018 Subject: Code Enforcement Board References: Agenda for March 8, 2018 Enclosures: List of members The Code Enforcement Board was created to issue orders having the force of law commanding whatever steps are necessary to bring a Code violation into compliance. Florida Statutes Section 162.05(2) requires members of the Code Enforcement Board to be residents of the City of Miami. City Code Section 2-812 states that whenever possible, the board is to consist of an architect, a businessperson, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor, and a realtor. Five (5) appointments are required at this time: • Chair Keon Hardemon has one (1) nomination for a seat currently:' 1. Vacant. (Dufirstson Neree removed for excessive absences) • Commissioner Joe Carollo has one (1) nomination for a seat currently held by: 1. Allyson Warren, incumbent, whose term expired on December 2, 2017. 2' 3 • Commissioner Manolo Reyes has one (1) nomination for a seat currently held by:4 1. Eduardo Moralejo, incumbent, whose term expired on October 13, 2017, has served as a member since December 15, 2005, and will require a term waiver by a unanimous (5/5/) vote of the Commission. • Commission -At -Large has two (2) nominations for seats currently: 1. Vacant. (Brenda Betancourt removed for excessive absences)5 2. Vacant, Alternate Member.
