Miami, Florida 33133: ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AMENDING CHAPTER 31 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA. AS AMENDED ("CITY CODE`), ENTITLED ' LOCAL BUSINESS TAX AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS REGULATIONS," CHAPTER 39 OF THE CITY CODE, ENTITLED "PEDDLERS AND ITINERANT VENDORS," AND CHAPTER 57 OF THE CITY CODE, ENTITLED "VEHICLES FOR HIRE." TO CREATE A MORE EFFICIENT AND STREAMLINED PROCESS BY TRANSFERRING OVERSIGHT OF THE BUSINESS TAX RECEIPT APPLICATION PROCESS FROM THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT TO THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE. All interested persons are invited to appear at the meeting and may be heard with respect to the proposed ordinances.
