HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-17-0455City of Miami Resolution R-17-0455 Legislation City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 2863 Final Action Date: 9/28/2017 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ACCEPTING ADDITIONAL FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $18,569.00 FOR THE STATE HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2016- 2017; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 16-0428, adopted September 8, 2016, the City Commission accepted an amount of $1,758,650.00 for the strategies under the State Housing Initiatives Partnership ("SHIP") Local Housing Assistance Plan for Fiscal Year 2016-2017; and WHEREAS, on August 3, 2017, Florida Housing Finance Corporation notified the City of Miami ("City") of the final allocation for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 in a total amount of $1,777,219.00, which includes an additional amount of $18,569.00; and WHEREAS, the City administration recommends the acceptance of the additional funds in the amount of $18,569.00 for the SHIP program for Fiscal Year 2016-2017; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City's acceptance of additional funds in the amount of $18,569.00 for the SHIP program for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 is approved. Section 3. The City Manager is authorized to execute any and all necessary documents, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, for said purpose. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.2 1 The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code provisions. 2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
