The Wynwood Business Improvement District seeks to approve the 2017-2018
operational budget at the September 14, 2017 Budget Commission meeting.

Commission's review as per approval on July 25, 2017 and August 14, 2017.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET OF THE WYNWOOD
BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT ("BID"), ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $863,206.00 TO PROVIDE FOR THE MANAGEMENT,
OPERATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF THE BID FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2017 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2018.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") established, approved, and adopted the Wynwood
Business Improvement District ("BID") pursuant to Ordinance No. 13404, adopted September
12, 2013, as amended by Ordinance No. 13453, adopted May 8, 2014; and
WHEREAS, the BID was established to stabilize and improve retail and other
businesses within Wynwood through promotion, management, marketing, and other similar
services including, but not limited to, coordination, funding, implementation, and maintenance of
infrastructure improvements, security, sanitation, and other projects; and
WHEREAS, Section 2-1323 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended,
provides that the BID shall submit its annual budget for its management, operation, and
maintenance to the City Commission for approval; and
WHEREAS, the BID Board reviewed and approved the BID's budget for Fiscal Year
2017-2018 on August 14, 2017; and
WHEREAS, the BID requests the approval of the budget for the Fiscal Year
commencing October 1, 2017 and ending September 30, 2018 in the amount of $863,206.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The BID's Fiscal Year 2017-2018 budget, attached and incorporated, in the
amount of $863,206.00 for the Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 2017 and ending September
30, 2018 is approved and adopted.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.'
1 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
