A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
ACCEPTING AND ADOPTING THE ANNUAL GENERAL OPERATING AND TAX
INCREMENT FUND BUDGET OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("SEOPW CRA"), ATTACHED AND
INCORPORATED AS EXHIBIT "A", IN THE AMOUNT OF $46,290,074.00, FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2017 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30,
2018, AS APPROVED BY THE SEOPW CRA'S BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Part III, Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, the Southeast
Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("SEOPW CRA") was created within
the limits of the City of Miami ("City") by action of Miami -Dade County and the City; and
WHEREAS, Article VI, paragraph 6.1 (b) of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement dated
March 1, 2000 between the City, the SEOPW CRA, and the Omni Redevelopment District
Community Redevelopment Agency, as revised and amended, requires that the SEOPW CRA
submit its budget to the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the SEOPW CRA Board of Commissioners approved and adopted the
SEOPW CRA's General Operating and Tax Increment Fund Budget ("Budget") for Fiscal Year
2017-2018 on July 31, 2017, pursuant to Resolution No. CRA-R-17-0045; and
WHEREAS, the SEOPW CRA requests the acceptance and approval of the Budget for
the Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 2017 and ending September 30, 2018 in the amount of
$46,290,074.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI. FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The SEOPW CRA's Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Budget in the amount of
$46,290,074.00, attached and incorporated as Exhibit "A", for the Fiscal Year commencing
October 1, 2017 and ending September 30, 2018 is accepted and adopted.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.'
1 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
