WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") created and established the Liberty City Community Revitalization Trust ("Trust") pursuant to Ordinance No. 12859, adopted October 12, 2006; and WHEREAS, the Trust is responsible for the oversight and facilitation of the City's revitalization and redevelopment activities in the Liberty City area; and WHEREAS, Section 12.5-36 of the City Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, provides that the Trust shall submit a budget to the City Commission for approval, in a form acceptable to the City Manager; and WHEREAS, the governing body of the Trust reviewed and approved the Trust's budget for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 on August 9, 2017; and WHEREAS, the Trust requests the approval of the budget for the Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 2017 and ending September 30, 2018 in the amount of $514,000.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The Trust's Fiscal Year 2017-2018 budget in the amount of $514,000.00, attached and incorporated, for the Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 2017 and ending September 30, 2018, is approved and adopted. Section 3. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor. 1 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission. APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS:
