The Miami City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday,
September 14, 2017 at 9:00 AM, to consider the award of a contract to the
for -profit organization listed below through Anti -Poverty grant funds from
the District 4 share of the City of Miami's Anti -Poverty Initiative Program.
Hispanic Business Initiative Fund Nationwide, Inc. d/b/a Prospera has
developed a Technology Academy to help small businesses become more
efficient and boost their performance and profitability, and to consider the
City Manager's recommendations and finding that competitive negotiation
methods are not practicable or advantageous regarding these issues:
• Hispanic Business Initiative Fund Nationwide, Inc. d/b/a Prospera -
Technology Academy for small business owners in District 4
Inquiries regarding this notice may be addressed to Malissa Trevino, Project
Manager for the Office of Community Investment, Office of the City Manager,
at (305) 416-1005.
This action is being considered pursuant to Section 18-85 (A) of the Code of
the City of Miami, Florida as amended (the 'Code"). The recommendations
and findings to be considered in this matter are set forth in the proposed
resolution and in Code Section 18-85 (A), which are deemed to be

De acuerdo con la Secci6n 1(n) de la Declaration de Estado
de Emergencia Local de la Ciudad de Miami, el alcalde
Tomas Regalado ha cancelado la reunion de la Comision de
la Ciudad que estaba pautada para el jueves 14 de
septiembre a las 9 a.m. Tampoco tomare lugar la audiencia
sobre el presupuesto que estaba agendada alas 5:05 p.m.
del mismo dia.
Conforms con la Seccion 2-33(1) del C6digo de la Ciudad
de Miami, el alcalde Regaled° ha convocado a la
Comision de la Ciudad a una reunion extraordinaria e1
martes 19 de septiembre a las 9 a.m. en la alcaldia.
Durante dicha junta, se debatiran los temas que no
pudieron ser expuestos en la reunion de este jueves que
fue cancelada tras el paso del huracan Irma.
Asimismo, la audiencia, que deberia realizarse este
jueves, se efectuara el martes 19 de septiembre a las
5:05 p.m. en la alcaldia de Miami, conforme con la orden
ejecutiva 17-235, del departamento de rentas de Florida,
que fue enmendada el 8 de septiembre.
Quienes deseen asistir a estas reuniones, estan invitados. Si
alguien quisiera apelar la decision de la Comision de la
Ciudad con respect, a cualquier asunto que sera debatido
en estas juntas, debe asegurarse de obtener un record
textual de dicho procedimiento incluyendo todos los
testimonies y evidencia en los cuales pudiera basarse una
