BISCAYNE BOULEVARD, MIAMI, FLORIDA WITH A TOTAL PROJECT COST
ESTIMATED IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $469,000.00 WITH FUNDING AND
BUDGET ALLOCATIONS TO BE APPROPRIATED IN THE FUTURE WITH

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO APPROVE A PROJECT ENTITLED, "MUSEUM PARK WALKWAY,"
CAPITAL PROJECT B-30538H, FOR THE PURPOSES OF RECONSTRUCTING AND
REPAIRING THE EXISTING WALKWAY AT MUSEUM PARK LOCATED AT 1075
BISCAYNE BOULEVARD, MIAMI, FLORIDA WITH A TOTAL PROJECT COST
ESTIMATED IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $469,000.00 WITH FUNDING AND
BUDGET ALLOCATIONS TO BE APPROPRIATED IN THE FUTURE WITH
CONTRIBUTIONS FROM THE GENERAL FUND.
WHEREAS, the existing walkway at the City of Miami ("City") owned property known as
Museum Park located at 1075 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, Florida ("Walkway") is in a serious
state of disrepair; and
WHEREAS, at the July 13, 2017 City Commission meeting, the City Administration was
directed to implement immediate repairs and reconstruction to the Walkway to improve public
access to the park and the adjacent museums ("Project"); and
WHEREAS, the total cost for the Project is estimated in an amount not to exceed
$469,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Project's funding and budget allocation is to be appropriated in the
future with contributions from the General Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration is authorized to use any legally available capacity to
effectuate the improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission authorizes the City Manager to approve and award the
Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized' to implement the Project known as the
Museum Park Walkway, 40-B30538H, for the purposes of reconstructing and repairing the
Walkway with funding and budget allocations to be made in the future with contributions from
the General Fund.
1 The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by
the City Attorney, including but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code
provisions.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.2

2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
