Re: Tank Closure Assessment Report Addendum II (TCARA) dated June 8, 2004 and prepared by
ATC Associates, Inc., for the City of Miami Fleet Management facility (UT-1640/File-
2819/FDEP #138622163) located at, near, or in the vicinity of 1390 NW 20th Street, Miami,
Miami -Dade County, Florida.
Dear Mr. Jackson;
The Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM) has reviewed the above -referenced
document received June 14, 2004 pertaining to the retnovaI of 5-1000 gal gasoline, 3-1000 gal diesel, 1-
220 gal motor oil, 1-550 hydraulic oil, 1-550 gallon automatic transmission fluid, 1-8,000 gallon motor
oil, 1-8,000 hydraulic oil, 1-2,000 gallon automatic transmission fluid, and 1-2000 gallon used motor oil
underground storage tanks between August 6 and October 9, 2003 and has determined that the TCARA
along with the TCARA dated November 18, 2003 and the TCAR dated November 18, 2003 meets the
requirements of Chapter 62-761.800, FAC. Therefore, the report has been placed on file with other
pertinent material regarding the subject site.
Contamination requiring further assessment is documented at the above referenced location (Areas 1 and
2). However, in accordance with Florida Statute, F.S. 376.30, you are required to obtain prior written
approval from the Depai Intent for the scope of work and associated costs in order to be paid from the
inland Protection Trust Fund for subsequent program tasks. Pre -approval requests for additional work
may be submitted to the Department. However, they will be reviewed based on priority score and
availability of funds. Voluntary work may continue to be performed at the site, as long as the work is
performed in accordance with Chapter 62-770, FAC.
