She has not received any other increases since she arrived. The Civilian Investigative Panel conducted a performance evaluation and voted to give her an increase of 5%, with benefits that are commensurate with other executive positions in the City of Miami. This money was already allocated in the CIP budget for Fiscal Year 2016-2017. WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") Civilian Investigative Panel ("CIP") was created pursuant to City Commission Ordinance No. 12188, adopted February 14, 2002; and WHEREAS, the Executive Director of the CIP is a City Official appointed by the CIP and approved by the City Commission pursuant to Section 51 of the Charter of the City of Miami; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 16-0385, adopted on September 6, 2016, the City Commission approved the CIP's Fiscal Year 2016-2017 Budget, attached and incorporated as Composite Exhibit "A," in an amount so as to provide the Executive Director and her employees a five percent (5%) raise and benefits commensurate with other similarly situated employees of the City; and WHEREAS, on April 19, 2017, the members of the CIP adopted CIP Resolution No. 17- 01, attached and incorporated as Attachment No.1, approving the Executive Director's performance evaluation and recommending that the City Commission approve an increase to the Executive Director's annual salary, retroactive to October 1, 2016, and additional benefits as described in Attachment No.2; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The compensation and benefits for the Executive Director of the CIP, Cristina Beamud, as described in Attachment No.2, attached and incorporated, are approved. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective as of July 13, 2017 upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.' 1 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission. APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS:
