The Miami City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, May 25,
2017 at 9:00 AM, to consider the award of a contract to the non-profit
organization listed below through Anti -Poverty grant funds from the Mayor's
share of the City of Miami's Anti -Poverty Initiative Program. HISPA, Inc. a
is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring Latino students'
academic performance and achievement, and to consider the City Manager's
recommendations and finding that competitive negotiation methods are
not practicable or advantageous regarding these issues:
• HISPA, Inc. - to launch and expand the organization in Miami and
reach out to more students.
Inquiries regarding this notice may be addressed to Malissa Trevino,
Project Manager for the Office of Community Investment, Office of the City
Manager, at (305) 416-1005.
This action is being considered pursuant to Section 18-85 (A) of the Code
of the City of Miami, Florida as amended (the "Code"). The recommendations
and findings to be considered in this matter are set forth in the proposed
resolution and in Code Section 18-85 (A), which are deemed to be
incorporated by reference herein and are available as with the regularly
scheduled City Commission meeting of May 25, 2017 at Miami City Hall,
3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida.

THE NORTH SIDE OF NORTHWEST/NORTHEAST 1ST STREET ON THE
NORTH, BISCAYNE BOULEVARD ON THE EAST, AND BY THE SOUTH
SIDE OF SOUTHWEST/SOUTHEAST 1ST STREET ON THE SOUTH, AS
FURTHER DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A"; PROVIDING FOR A SUNSET
PROVISION; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Said proposed ordinances may be inspected by the public at the Office of
the City Clerk, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133, Monday
through Friday, excluding holidays, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., or
htt/miamiflgm2.com five days before the date of the Commission Meeting.
All interested persons are invited to appear at the meeting and may b€
heard with respect to the proposed ordinances. Should any person desire
to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to any mattei
to be considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatirr
record of the proceedings is made including all testimony and evidence
upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).
