WHEREAS, the District 4 Commissioner wishes to grant funds from the Commissioner's share of the City of Miami's ("City") Anti -Poverty Initiative, in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00 ("Funds"), to the Miami Police Department ("MPD") for a juvenile assistance mentoring program ("Program"); and WHEREAS, the City Manager is requesting authority from the City Commission to transfer Funds for the Program; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this Resolution are adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized' to allocate grant funds from the District 4 Commissioner's share of the City's Anti -Poverty Initiative, to the Program, in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00 for Program funding. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.' If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
