SUBJECT: Ordinance implementing IRS required language
For favorable determination letter
Enclosed please find an ordinance of the Miami City Commission in compliance with the Internal
Revenue Service favorable determination letter dated January 27, 2017, amending Chapter 40,
Article IV, Division 3, of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, entitled
"Personnel/Pension and Retirement Plan/City of Miami General Employees' and Sanitation
Employees' Retirement Trust."
This ordinance will be reviewed by the City of Miami General Employees' & Sanitation
Employees' Retirement Trust Board at their board meeting of March 17, 2017. Please place the
approval of this ordinance on the City Commission agenda of April 13, 2017.
