A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE
ALLOCATION OF PROGRAM INCOME FROM COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG") FUNDS GENERATED FROM JULY 1, 2016 TO
NOVEMBER 30, 2016, IN THE AMOUNT OF $510,618.55, TO THE
CATEGORIES SPECIFIED IN ATTACHMENT"A", ATTACHED AND
INCORPORATED; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY
AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION
FOR THE SPECIFIED AMOUNTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY
ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE(S).
WHEREAS, the Department of Community and Economic Development ("Department")
receives various types of repayments from loans provided to developers and homeowners,
referred to as program income that are required to be used for eligible program activities; and
WHEREAS, from July 1, 2016 to November 30, 2016, the Department collected
$510,618.55 in Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") program income; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to CDBG regulations 24 CFR Part 570.504, program income must
be used for eligible CDBG activities; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends the allocation of CDBG program
income generated from July 1, 2016 to November 30, 2016, in the total amount of $510,618.55,
to the activities specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, which are eligible CDBG
activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The allocation of CDBG program income from July 1, 2016 to November 30,
2016, in the amount of $510,618.55, to the categories specified in Attachment "A", attached and
incorporated, is authorized.'
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized' to execute any and all documents to
complete the transaction for the specified amounts, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and

the City Attorney including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code
provisions.

2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
