NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Miami City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, March 9, 2017, to consider the
award of an agreement, in the amount of $94,452.00, to the Foundation of Community Assistance and
Leadership, Inc., a Florida not -for -profit corporation (FOCAL), for the 2016-2031 contract period, for
the provision of after school tutoring, counseling, and computer educational services for at risk youth at
the City of Miami's Moore Park, and to consider the City Manager's recommendation and finding that
competitive negotiation methods are not practicable or advantageous regarding these issues. Inquiries
regarding this notice may be addressed to LaCleveia Morley, Department of Parks and Recreation at
(305) 416- 1332.
This action is being considered pursuant to Section 18-86(a)(3)(c) (services related to educational
services and activities provided by non-profit organizations within city parks) of the Code of the City
of Miami, Florida, as amended. The recommendation and finding to be considered in this matter are
set forth in the proposed resolution and in this Code Section, which are deemed to be incorporated by
reference herein and are available as public records from the City of Miami. The Public Hearing will be
held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled City Commission meeting of March 9, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.
at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Miami City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, March
9, 2017 at 9:00 AM, to consider the award of a contract to the non-profit
organization listed below through Anti -Poverty grant funds from the District 4
share of the City of Miami's Anti -Poverty Initiative Program. Catalyst Miami,
Inc. is an organization dedicated to residents, organizations, and communities
working together toward common goals, and to consider the City Manager's
recommendations and finding that competitive negotiation methods are not
practicable or advantageous regarding these issues:
• Catalyst Miami, Inc.- One full time coach for the Prosperity programs
and services throughout District 4.

This action is being considered pursuant to Section 18-85 (A) of the Code
