A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION PURSUANT TO SECTION 62-
521(B) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, WAIVING
THE TEMPORARY EVENT TEN (10) EVENT LIMITATION PER PROPERTY, IN
ORDER TO HOST VARIOUS ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT RELATED EVENTS AT
50 NORTHWEST 14 STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA OCCURRING AT VARIOUS TIMES
BEGINNING DECEMBER 1, 2016 AND ENDING NOVEMBER 30, 2018.
WHEREAS, the Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency
("CRA") owns the property at 50 Northwest 14 Street, Miami, Florida ("Property"); and
WHEREAS, the CRA has leased the property to Viacom International Inc. ("Viacom");
and
WHEREAS, Viacom wishes to hold various temporary arts and entertainment related
events at the Property beginning December 1, 2016 and running through November 30, 2018;
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-521 of Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as
amended ("City Code"), temporary events are limited to no more than ten (10) events per year
per property, for no longer than two (2) weeks each on publicly owned property; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 65-521(b) of the City Code, the number and time
limitations can be waived upon affirmative vote by the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, temporary arts and entertainment related events at the above location are
beneficial to the City of Miami's residents and local businesses;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Pursuant to Section 62-521(b) of the City Code, the temporary events number
and time limitations of no more than ten (10) events per year per property for various temporary
arts and entertainment related events at the Property beginning December 1, 2016 and running
through November 30, 2018, are hereby waived for said period and said permit(s).
Section 3. Viacom is still required to comply with the remaining portions of the City
Code, including but not limited to obtaining permits for each event.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.'

1 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
