am on the Art Advisory Board of Friends of the Underline and writing to you today in
support of the City of Miami's Art in Public Place ordinances. I also strongly support using this
new potential funding source for projects to be directed to the 5 miles of the proposed Underline
route running through the City of Miami. Friends of The Underline's Art Advisory mission is to
curate a dynamic hybrid of celebrated, permanent artworks and vibrant short-term visual and
performing arts programming at the Metrorail Stations along the proposed Underline route. Our
intention is to draw upon the strengths of Miami's existing cultural and civic institutions to
highlight the quality and depth of our art communities, and engage the public in interactive and
inclusive artistic experiences. We need your help to make this exciting initiative a reality. We
plan to work as advisors to and collaborate with Miami Dade County and the City of
Miami's Art in Public Places departments to choose works for art commissions and support
related programming. Please vote in favor of the City of Miami Art in Public Places ordinance
