Director, Department of Public Works City of Miami 444 S.W. 2nd Avenue, 8th Floor Miami, FL 33130 CLARENCE E WOODS, 111 Executive Director Re: Restoration of "Vehicular Traffic to N.W. 7t11 Street between N.W. 1st Court & N.W. 2°d Avenue within the Southeast Overtown/Park West ("SEOPW") Community Redevelopment Area Dear Mr. Santamaria: I write on behalf of the SEOPW Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") to formally request the restoration of vehicular traffic along N.W. 7th Street between N.W. 1St Court and N.W. 2nd Avenue. In 1986, the City Commission adopted Resolution 86-118 formally closing the subject street to vehicular traffic in order to advance the goals of the then existing CRA redevelopment plan. Since that time, the CRA has entered into a development agreement with a development entity for Block 56 and will soon be soliciting proposals for the development of Blocks 45, which abut the subject street on the south and north, respectively. The redevelopment of both Blocks 45 and 56 will require the use of the aforementioned portion of N.W. 7th Street for vehicular access. In light of the changed conditions and the new projects for Blocks 45 and 56, the SEOPW CRA respectfully requests that the Department of Public Works place on the September 28th, 2016, agenda for The City of Miami ("City") Commission's consideration and approval authorizing the restoration of vehicular traffic to N.W. 7th Street between N.W. 1St Court and N.W. 2m1 Avenue. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have regarding this request. Clarence E. Woods, III Executive Director cc: Shei.za Revuelta, Public Works Dept. Renee A.
