A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP
PROGRAM FUNDS, IN THE PROJECTED AMOUNT OF $2,583,886.00, FOR
HOUSING PROGRAMS, FOR PROGRAM YEAR 2017-2018, AS SPECIFIED IN
ATTACHMENT "A," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A
FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, TO IMPLEMENT THE
ALLOCATIONS.
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD")
has yet to release the final Community Planning and Development Program Formula Allocations
for Program Year 2017-2018, as such, the amount of Home Investment Partnership ("HIP")
funds being recommended is a projection; and
WHEREAS, HUD recommends the allocation of HIP funds, in the projected amount of
$2,583,886.00, for Program Year 2017-2018, as specified in Attachment "A," attached and
incorporated, for the provision of decent and affordable housing to low income households; and
WHEREAS, the funding allocation to such activities as specified in Attachment "A,"
attached and incorporated, may need to be adjusted proportionally once HUD confirms the final
HIP formula allocation for Program Year 2017-2018;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The allocation of HIP funds in the projected amount of $2,583,886.00, for
Program Year 2017-2018, as specified in Attachment "A," attached and incorporated, for the
provision of decent and affordable housing to low income households, is authorized.
Section 3. These allocations will be adjusted in direct proportion to the actual allocation
of HIP funds provided by HUD for Program Year 2017-2018.
Section 4. The City Manager is authorized to execute any and all necessary
documents, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, to implement acceptance of said funds.
1 The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by
the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code
provisions.

Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.2
APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS:
2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
