A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF PROGRAM YEAR 2017-2018,
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG") FUNDS, IN THE
PROJECTED AMOUNT OF $4,712,378.00, IN FISCAL YEAR 2017-2018
ALLOCATION, AND IN THE PROJECTED AMOUNT OF $126,000.00 IN PUBLIC
SERVICE FROM PRIOR PROGRAM YEAR INCOME FOR A PROJECTED
TOTAL AMOUNT OF $4,838,378.00 TO THE ACTIVITIES SPECIFIED IN
ATTACHMENT "A," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, BEGINNING OCTOBER
1, 2017; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY
ATTORNEY, TO IMPLEMENT THE ALLOCATIONS.
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD")
has yet to release the final Community Planning and Development Program Formula Allocations
for Program Year 2017-2018, as such, the amount of Community Development Block Grant
("CDBG") funds being recommended is a projection; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") Administration recommends allocating said
projected funds to the various activities as specified in Attachment "A," attached and
incorporated, for Program Year 2017-2018 beginning October 1, 2017; and
WHEREAS, with the exception of the Public Works' allocations and the funding
allocations to such activities specified in Attachment "A," attached and incorporated, will be
prorated once HUD confirms the final CDBG formula allocation for Program Year 2017-2018;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The allocation of Program Year 2017-2018 CDBG funds, in the projected
amount of 4,838,378.00 to the various activities, as specified in Attachment "A," attached and
incorporated, beginning October 1, 2017, is authorized.
Section 3. With the exception of Public Works, these allocations will be adjusted in
direct proportion to the actual allocation of CDBG funds provided by HUD for the 2017-2018
Program Year.
Section 4. The City Manager is authorized to execute any and all necessary documents,
in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, to implement the allocation of said funds.

the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code
provisions.

Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.2

2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
