Reso No. R-16-01Resolution Number R-16-01 Miami Roads Neighborhood Civic Association RESOLUTION OPPOSING CITY OF MIAMI RESOLUTION 16-00401ZT AND URGING THE CITY OF MIAMI COMMISSION TO DENY MIAMI RESOLUTION 16-0040I ZT AS PROPOSED BY CITY MANAGER WHEREAS, The Miami Roads Neighborhood Civic Association has serious concerns with City of Miami Resolution 16-00401zt; and WHEREAS, the proposed ordinance would allow parking structures on T3 properties when T6 abuts a T3 property and if there is Unity of Title or a covenant in lieu of Unity of Title; and WHEREAS, the ordinance would be reviewed by the warrant process, an administrative process with little public input; and WHEREAS, the warrant process places the burden of an appeal on the residents residing in T3 neighborhoods rather than placing the burden on any developer that proposes a project on a T6 property. WHEREAS, properties along SW 3rd avenue and Coral Way are currently zoned T6 and the majority of these properties abut T3 properties within the Roads Neighborhood of Miami; and WHEREAS, the proposed ordinance may result in an encroachment of incompatible uses, specifically parking structures, within a single family residential neighborhood; and Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of Directors of the Miami Roads Neighborhood Civic Association, that the Board: Section 1. Opposes City of Miami Resolution 16-00401zt. Section 2. Urges the City of Miami Commissioners to deny PZ.4 16-00401zt This resolution was offered by a motion of Board Member Marla Lievano-Cruz. The motion was seconded by Board Member Armando del Corral and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: Katie Gant, President Yes Armando del Corral, Vice -President Yes Paula Maria Di Mauro, Treasurer absent Maria Lievano Cruz, Secretary Yes The resolution was duly passed and adopted on July 27, 2016.
