Subject: Code Amendment to the Waterfront Advisory Board's Quorum Requirement
Purpose of Item:
To amend section 29-124 regarding the Waterfront Advisory Board's quorum requirement,
changing said requirement from six to five members.
Background Information:
Within the past year and a half the Waterfront Advisory Board had quorum less than half the
time. On a number of occasions city staff and city leaseholders or potential Leaseholders
attended meetings but were unable to have the Board vote on various projects due to lack of
quorum. It is expected that a reduction in the quorum requirement will facilitate the Board's
mission to make recommendations as to the City's waterfront as required under the city
code.
