Alfonso, City Manager FROM: Annie Perez, CPPO, Director Procurement DATE : August 5, 2016 FILE : SUBJECT : Recommendation for Approval to Award Bid for Forklift and Other Hydraulic Lifts Maintenance and REFERENCES ; Repairs ENCLOSURES: Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 616407 RECOMMENDATION: Based on the findings below, they' Procurement Department (Procurement) hereby recommends award, pursuant to IFB No. 616407, for forklift and other hydraulic lifts maintenance and repairs, on a group by group basis, to the two (2) responsive and• responsible bidders: Sudden Service, Inc. (Primary), and National Lift Truck Service, Inc: (Secondary). Additional vendors may be added to the contract as deemed in the best interest of the City of Miami. Contract Number/Title: IFB No. 616407 for Forklift and Other Hydraulic Lifts Maintenance and Repairs Contract Amount: Approximately $230,000.00 annually, depending on the City's needs. Aggregate value is estimated at $1,380,000.00 over six (6) years Contract Term: Initial term for 'a period of two (2) years, with the option to renew for two (2), additional two (2) year periods Recommended Vendors: Sudden Service, Inc. (Primary), and National Lift Truck Service, Inc. (Secondary) BACKGROUND: On June 27, 2016, Procurement issued IFB Na. 616407, under full and open competition. As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued online. Two (2) bids were received and tabulated following the guidelines directed in the IFB; both bids were responsive. The services were awarded on a group by group basis, with a Primary and Secondary vendor for each group. Approved Daniel J.
