A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE
ACCEPTANCE OF ADDITIONAL STATE HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP
("SHIP") FUNDS IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $22,429.00, FOR FISCAL YEAR

2015-2016, FOR THE STRATEGIES UNDER THE CURRENT SHIP LOCAL
HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE
CITY ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 15-0360, adopted September 10, 2015, the Miami City
Commission accepted an amount of $1,299,453.00 for Fiscal Year 2015-2016, for the strategies under
the current State Housing Initiatives Partnership ("SHIP") Local Housing Assistance Plan ("LHAP");
and
WHEREAS, on June 30, 2016, the Florida Housing Finance Corporation notified the City of
Miami ("City") of the additional allocation of SHIP funds in the amount of $22,429.00, for a total
amount of SHIP funds received for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 of $1,321,882.00; and
WHEREAS, the City administration recommends the acceptance of additional SHIP funds in
the total amount of $22,429.00, for Fiscal Year 2015-2016, for the strategies under the current SHIP
LHAP;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City's acceptance of additional SHIP funds, in a total amount of $22,429.00 for
Fiscal Year 2015-2016, for the strategies under the current SHIP LHAP, is authorized.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1} to execute the necessary documents, in a form
acceptable to the City Attorney, for said purpose.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor. {2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed
by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code
provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
