Hannon City Clerk Reference: Agenda for September 8, 2016 Enclosures: List of members Subject to the approval of the City Commission, the Civil Service Board was created to adopt, amend and enforce a code of rules and regulations which shall have the force and effect of law, providing for appointment and employment in all positions in the classified service, based on merit, efficiency, character, and industry; and to make investigations concerning the enforcement and effect of this article and of the rules adopted; and shall make an annual report to the Commission. One (1) appointment is required at this time: • Commission At Large has one (1) nomination for a seat currently: 1. Vacant. (Note: Lillie Harris does not meet the residency requirements*) *City of Miami Code Section 2-884(a) states that all members of city boards shall either be permanent residents of the city, own real property in the city, or work or maintain a business in the city. For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting that the Agenda Office place this issue on the September 8, 2016, Commission agenda.
