Hannon City Clerk FROM: Daniel Rotenberg Director Department of Real Estate and Asset Management DATE: June 13, 2016 SUBJECT: REFERENCES: 10 Day Notice ENCLOSURES: Term Sheet Enclosed you will find an ad for notice of a public hearing to be held by the City Commission on June 23, 2016, for the purpose of entering into a Term Sheet with the National Trust for Historic Preservation and Heineken in an effort to conduct a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for the renovation of the Commodore Ralph Monroe Miami Marine Stadium. Medina, Agenda Coordinator AB:HM CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING A public hearing will be held by the City Commission of the City of Miami, Florida on June 23, 2016 at 9:00 A.M. at City Hall, located at 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133 for the purpose of granting the following: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), BY A FOUR -FIFTHS (4/5THS) AFFIRMATIVE VOTE, AFTER AN ADVERTISED PUBLIC HEARING, RATIFYING, APPROVING AND CONFIRMING THE CITY MANAGER'S FINDING THAT COMPETITIVE BIDDING/NEGOTIATION METHODS AND PROCEDURES ARE NOT PRACTICABLE OR ADVANTAGEOUS PURSUANT TO SECTION 18-85(A) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED; WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SAID PROCEDURES; ACCEPTING THE TERMS OF A TERM SHEET BETWEEN HEINEKEN USA, INCORPORATED,, THE NATIONAL TRUST FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION, AND THE CITY OF MIAMI, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE FORM ATTACHED AS EXHIBIT "A", TO CONDUCT A CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN TO RAISE FUNDS TO RENOVATE AND RESTORE THE COMMODORE RALPH MUNROE MIAMI MARINE STADIUM; AUTHORIZING THE NATIONAL TRUST FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION TO ACCEPT ALL DONATED FUNDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN, WHICH WILL BE LATER TENDERED TO THE CITY; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ANY DEFINITIVE DOCUMENTATION RELATED THERETO, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY. The Miami City Commission requests all interested parties be present or represented at this meeting and are invited to express their views. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may be based (F,S. 286.0105).
