RECOMMENDATION:
Based on the findings below, the Procurement Department (Procurement) hereby recommends
award for Pool Chemicals and Bulk Liquid Chlorine on a group by group basis, to the following
responsive and responsible bidders under IFB No. 602384: Commercial Energy Specialists, Inc.,
and Pro -Star Pool Supplies, Inc. Additional vendors may be added to the contract as deemed in
the best interest of the City of Miami.
Contract Number/Title: IFB No. 602384, Invitation for Bid for Pool Chemicals and Bulk Liquid
Chlorine
Contract Amount:
Approximately $250,000.00 annually, depending the City's needs.
Estimated $1,500,000.00 is the aggregate over the six (6) years,
including the option to renew periods.
Contract Term: Initial term for a period of two (2) years, with the option to renew for
two (2) additional two (2) year periods
Recommended Vendors: Vendors were awarded by Group based on their ranking following
the guidelines in the IFB (see attached tabulation). Below is the award recommendation by group:

BACKGROUND:
On March 21, 2016, Procurement issued IFB No. 602384, under full and open competition. As
required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued online. Three (3) bids were
received and tabulated following the uidelines directed in the IFB, all bids were responsive.
