Subject: Regulations for Debatiiient and/or Suspension under the City Of Miami Procurement
Ordinance.
Purpose of Item:
The nature of this item is to authorize a resolution of the City of Miami Commission approving the
Regulations for Debarment and/or Suspension established by the Chief Procurement Officer, in
consultation with the City Attorney's Office.
Background Information:
Section 18-107, titled "Debarment and Suspensions", of the City of Miami Procurement Code,
subsection (a) states that "the authority to debar and suspend contractors shall be exercised in
accordance with regulations which shall be issued by the Chief Procurement Officer after approval by
the City Manager, the City Attorney, and the City Commission." The City currently does not have
any established or approved regulations for debarment and/or suspensions. Attached hereto, are
Regulations for Debarment and/or Suspension established by the Chief Procurement Officer, in
consultation with the City Attorney's Office for City Commission approval, as required by the City of
Miami Procurement Code.
