Alfonso, City Manager 4 Ante Perez, CPPO, D7,ctor Procurement DATE: SUBJECT: March 23, 2016 FILE Recommendation for Approval to Award Bids Vactor Truck Debris Hauling REFERENCES : Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 586380 ENCLOSURES: RECOMMENDATION: Based on the findings below, the Procurement Department (Procurement) hereby recommends approval of the award, pursuant to Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 586380, for Vactor Truck Debris Hauling to Waste Management Inc. of Florida dba Waste Management of Dade County (Primary), and EnviroWaste Services Group, Inc. (Secondary); the impact of this item is citywide in nature. Additional vendors may be added to the contract as deemed in the best interest of the City of Miami. Contract Number/Title: Contract Amount: Contract Term: Recommended Vendors: BACKGROUND: IFB No. 586380, Vactor Truck Debris Hauling Approximately $73,000.00 annually, depending the City's needs. Estimated to be $365,000.00 over the five (5) year term of the contract Initial term for a period of three (3) years, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods The responsive and responsible bidders recommended for award are Waste Management Inc. of Florida dba Waste Management of Dade County (Primary) and, EnviroWaste Services Group, Inc. (Secondary) On February 25, 2016, Procurement issued IFB No. 586380, under full and open competition to obtain bids from qualified vendors. As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued online. On March 15, 2016, two (2) bids were received and tabulated following the guidelines published in the IFB.
