Director City Manager Page 1 of 2 SUPPLEMENTAL PAGE Subject: Resolution for acceptance of the City Manager's Recommendation to reject the single proposal received for Invitation to Bid ("ITB") No. 15-16-007, for sale of City -owned property located at 551 NW 71 ST, 7142 NW 5 CT, and 7148 NW 5 CT, Miami, FL 33150 (formerly known as the "Nuway Property"). Background Information: The City of Miami ("City") owns the property located at 551 NW 71 Street, 7142 NW 5 Court, and 7148 NW 5 Court, Miami, FL 33150 (collectively the "Property"). On October 28, 2015 the City issued Invitation to Bid No. 15-16-007 ("ITB"), to solicit bids for the purchase and sale of the Property. One (1) proposal was received and deemed responsive in accordance with the ITB 's terms and conditions. Pursuant to the ITB, the City Manager appointed the Selection Committee ("Committee") to evaluate proposals received in response to the ITB. The Committee met on February 16, 2016 to evaluate the criteria and the scoring values assigned and determine a rank order based on the score achieved and rendered a written Memorandum for Recommendation for Final Selection to the City Manager. The single proposal received offered to pay a total of one million two thousand dollars and 00/100 cents ($1,002,000.00) in exchange for the Property. Per Resolution number R-08-0603, the City expended approximately one million three hundred twenty four thousand and 00/100 ($1,324,000.00) dollars to cover the cost of said acquisition, inclusive of the cost of a survey, environmental report, title insurance and related closing costs associated with said acquisition. The City Manager has rejected the recommendation of the Committee and transmitted to the City Commission his recommendation to reject. The above actions and procedures have been performed in accordance with applicable City Charter, Code, and ITB provisions. Page 2 of 2
