Pursuant to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 489328, approving the establishment of a pre -qualification list comprised of four (4) qualified proposers, to provide lot clearing services for the Department of Code Compliance (Code Compliance), on an as -needed basis, for an initial period of two (2) years, with automatic annual renewals, until such time as it is deemed in the best interest of the City to issue a new solicitation. Code Compliance has a need for these services on an ongoing basis. Section 2.9, of the solicitation titled "Procedures for Obtaining Invitation for Quotation", is being amended to incorporate not -to -exceed pricing per square foot for Category A Services, Vegetative Debris and Minor Non -Vegetative Debris, and Category B Services, Major Non -Vegetative Debris. Incorporating not to exceed pricing, will prohibit the qualified vendor from bidding higher than the not -to -exceed price per square foot for the applicable categories. Also, due to the fluctuating price of fuel, Section 2.33, titled "Consumer Price Index (CPI)", is hereby added to the contract to allow for the ability to increase/decrease the not -to - exceed prices pursuant to the current Consumer Price Index. In addition, Section 2.8, titled "Method of Award", is hereby amended as pre -qualified vendors will now be contacted by Code Compliance to participate in an Invitation for Quotation (IFQ) process when services are needed; work will be requested through IFQ's- specifying the project scopes.
