Hannon City Clerk Date: March 28, 2016 Subject: Civil Service Board References: Agenda for April 14, 2016 Enclosures: List of members, Memo from Executive Secretary and Resume Subject to the approval of the City Commission, the Civil Service Board was created to adopt, amend and enforce a code of rules and regulations which shall have the force and effect of law, providing for appointment and employment in all positions in the classified service, based on merit, efficiency, character, and industry; and to make investigations concerning the enforcement and effect of this article and of the rules adopted; and shall make an annual report to the Commission. Based on the attached memo by Tishra Mindingall, Executive Secretary, Civil Service Board, Commission -At -Large has three (3) appointments for seats currently held by: 1. Javier Banos, incumbent, whose term expires on May 8, 2016. 2. Lillie Harris, incumbent, whose term expires on May 8, 2016. 3. William W. Riley. Jr., incumbent, whose term expires on May 8, 2016. The term of appointed members will begin on May 9, 2016 and end on May 8, 2018. For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum to the Agenda Office, we are requesting that this issue be placed on the April 14, 2016, Commission agenda.
