Purpose of Item: A Resolution of the Miami City Commission, with attachments, authorizing the City Manager to submit an application for reimbursement grant funding to the Florida Inland Navigation District ("FIND") Waterways Assistance Program, in substantially the attached form, in an amount not to exceed $245,000 for the construction of a baywalk behind the Miami Woman's Club ("Project"); authorizing the allocation of the required matching funds of the project costs, in an amount not to exceed $332,000 available under the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Omni Fund (PATEO: P — 92-686001; A — 1396; T — 01; E — 920101; 0 - 920501; authorizing the City Manager to execute any other necessary documents for the submission of said grant application for fiscal year 2016-2017. Background Information: The total cost of the Project is estimated at $577,000 for the administration and construction of a new baywalk to allow public access to the marinas, baywalks and parks adjacent to the Miami Woman's Club, The Office of Grants Administration is seeking City Commission authorization to apply for $245,000 in grant funding from the Florida Inland Navigation District. The City is allocating the required matching funds in an amount not to exceed $332,000 available under the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Omni Fund (PATEO: P — 92-686001; A — 1396; T — 01; E — 920101; 0 - 920501. The City allocation includes the required match of $245,000 (eligible costs) plus CITP Administrative costs of $41,000 (ineligible costs) and Contingency costs of $46,000 (ineligible costs).
